Povidin Sore Throat Spray (Povidin-iodine)
1. Do not administer to the following:
1) Patients with hypersensitivity to iodine
2) Patients with abnormal thyroid function
2. Be careful when administering to the following:
1) Patients with severe canker sores
2) Pregnant or possibly pregnant women and breastfeeding women
3) Since this drug contains propylene glycol, carefully administer it to patients who are oversensitive or have allergic history.
3. Side effects
1) In case of hypersensitivity symptoms such as rash, etc., stop using it.
2) Oral (mouth): Occasionally, symptoms such as irritation of the pharynx, rare mouth mucous membrane festering, and canker sores can occur.
3) Digestive system: Sometimes symptoms such as nausea may occur.
4) Other: In rare cases, discomfort may occur, and excessive use of this medicine for disinfection may lead to iodine toxicity.
4. General cautions
1) Follow the specified usage and dosage.
2) When used for children, it shall be used under the guidance and supervision of the guardian.
3) Use it only for mouth (inside the mouth).
4) In the case of mouth wound, such as from tooth extraction, avoid intense brushing before the bleeding stops due to solidification of blood.
5) Because shock (anaphylaxis) can occur rarely, if severe symptoms such as itching, edema (swelling), heartburn, etc. are present at the same time as discoloration, cold hands and feet, cold sweat, exhalation, seek medical attention immediately.
5. Application precautions
1) Keep it out of reach of children.
2) If it gets on clothes, it is easily washed with water if washed immediately.
3) Keep it away from direct sunlight.
4) To prevent misuse and to preserve quality, do not store in containers other than the original.
